No idea that Lips, le loup, taught her she need never feel powerless again. They beat her, tried to break her, but they had no idea the monstre she had on her side in her bed, and in her heart. They sold her, assaulted her, and then they stole her from her home. And Odette Illium will bring wicked men to their knees. Odette has been reborn in blood and flames, in pain and paint -a bloody beauty. The name shed like the skin of the snake who sired her. So there is a lot of planning the revenge, then blood, organs and other body parts, some butcher romance while they are waiting and planning. Also the last 70% is about Odie getting into a better (head)space after all she is trough and the Butcher getting revenge on the people who treated Odie like s***. But the butcher is kind of sweet, as sweet as a butcher can be 😉. Actually in the last 70% is a lot of sex and some is pretty graphic. Then when she is back, they finally have sex. The first 30% are about getting Odie back. I expected that the second Part will be as dark as the first one, but it is not. At the end of The Butcher of the Bay: Part two Lips is already through two years at Hannaford, that's when she and Harley are picked up by Jackal when they leave Hannaford for the summer break. Odie grew on me a lot in this book.Įdit: while rereading the book I realised that Lips gets her emancipation after she teams up with Illi the second time. That said I will only add, that it is not as dark as the first part. I would say this book is a butcher romance. It’s difficult to write a review without spoiling to much, so I write a bit more in spoiler tags, as there are spoilers in there.
